Slovenia is always proud to present new achievements of its superstar DJ/producer Valentino Kanzyani. His rise to fame did not happen overnight, for he has been carefully building his profile on the local and international electronic music scene since 1999. The success is both enormous and hard-earned.
Today, he is rightfully percieved as the founder of the new wave of techno. His club smashes such as 'Learning How To Do It', 'La Sala Loca', 'Burros Eslovenos', 'Nueva York' and 'iPray' are played by some of the world's most popular DJs such as Carl Cox et al; he has toured the world and is much in-demand for many months in advance. In between gigs he is always busy remixing and producing. Kanzyani has always been searching for new sounds outside the strict genre-based pigeonholes, which is more than obvious in the output of his labels Earresistible, Recycled Loops and recently also JesusLoved You.
So Valentino has now prepared a brand new mix-album, the third installment in the Rock the Discotheque series. The new set shows his trans-genre approach while retaining the trademark funkiness, energy and of course impeccable technical skills. The mix has been recorded using a combination of analogue and digital tools in Valentino's studio in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. In addition to his own club smashes on Intec and JesusLovedYou it features firm DJ-favourites courtesy of Cirez D (aka Eric Prydz) and Dada Life, fresh tracks by respected producers such as Chris Lake, Cagedbaby, Lutzenkirchen and Kobaya, and two previously unreleased tracks exclusive to this album (by the best Serbian DJ-producers: Marko Nastic and Dejan Milicevic).
The album was launched at Valentino's traditional birthday party called Summer Gathering at the famous 4000-capacity Ambadsada Gavioli club in Izola, Slovenia, on 22 July.
